Bishop's Stortford Swimming Club remain on track for promotion after a resounding win in the second round of the Arena League.
They took on Hertford and Hoddesdon along with new clubs Broomfield Park, Verulam and Ware at the Hertfordshire Sports Village.
And they triumphed with 212 gala points – 54 ahead of second-placed Broomfield Park – as they claimed top-three finishes in 28 of the 34 individual events, including 15 wins, along with five first-place and three second-place finishes in the relays.
Lois Fields (10-11 years) won the 50m butterfly while Molly Greatbatch (13-under) triumphed in the 100m breaststroke.
The 15-under winners were Alice Longman (100m freestyle), Ella Greatbatch (100m breaststroke), Jacob Hayes (100m backstroke) and Kirsty Neill (100m butterfly).
Callum Cox (100m freestyle), Callum Davis (100m butterfly), Emma Fields (100m butterfly), Jago Derrington (100m backstroke) and Jake Lloyd (200m individual medley) made the top of the podium in the 16-over category, as did Laura Burgess (100m freestyle), Lauren Gore (100m breaststroke) and Niamh James (200m IM, 100m backstroke).
The top six teams in Division Two are vying for promotion and Stortford are going head to head with Enfield, who have also won their first two galas. They are sharing the lead based on league points, but Enfield have the edge when it comes to overall gala points with 464 compared to Stortford's 429.
A top-two finish in the third gala would guarantee promotion for Stortford while coming third would see the outcome decided on countback.
The BSSC squad were well supported on the night, particularly by coaches Benoit Grattepanche, Laure Grattepanche and Joe Collins, team managers Sarah Neill and Kat Gore and officials Claire Fields and Steve Burgess.
