Bishop's Stortford Swimming Club members produce star performances

Zoe Opiyo won seven medals as Bishop’s Stortford Swimming Club members had a brilliant time at the Robin Deal Memorial Meet.

A 34-strong contingent headed to Sudbury, with the nine- and ten-year-olds getting to experience competitive action while the older swimmers chased regional qualifying times.

There were personal bests galore and 19 swimmers achieved 62 medals between them. There were regional times for Alice Longman and Kirsty Neill, while Lauren Gore missed out by just 0.03sec.

Medallists: Nine-year-olds – Charles German (1 gold, 3 Silver, 1 bronze), Dylan Davenport (1 gold, 2 silver, 2 bronze), Ethan David-Tostevin (3 silver, 1 bronze), Zoe Opiyo (2 gold, 3 silver, 2 bronze); Ten-year-olds -– Freya Hadnutt, Hannah Robinson, Leo Suo-Saunders; 11-year-olds – George Grimwood, Imogen Tang, Kirsty Neill, Olivia Thomas-Austin; 12-year-olds – Alice Longman, Amy Pinckney, Grace Mason, Jakey Hayes, Jessie Fields, Lauren Gore; 13-year-olds – Markus Webb; 15/16-year-olds – James Gor.
