Adam Bloom, Imran Yusuf, Diane Spencer and Paddy Lennox at Laughing Bishops Comedy Club on Saturday March 18





One of Britain's most exciting and original stand-ups is on the bill at Laughing Bishops Comedy Club on Saturday (March 18).

Whirlwind performer Adam Bloom, who has become one of the most in-demand headliners around, will be part of a four-strong lineup at the Water Lane United Reformed Church Hall in Bishop's Stortford.

Imran Yusuf, Diane Spencer and resident MC Paddy Lennox will also be taking to the stage.

Bloom has performed at the Edinburgh Festival for many years and won at Time Out Comedy Award for Best Stand-up in 1998.

He has appeared on television shows including Mock the Week, Never Mind The Buzzcocks, Russell Howard's Good News and The Young Person's Guide to Becoming a Rockstar.

Bloom also wrote and starred in BBC Radio 4's The Problem with Adam Bloom, which ran for three series between 2003 and 2005.

Yusuf is a languid, punchy, cheeky and utterly lovable comedian who has been a pioneering voice in the world of modern British comedy and across the world.

He is renowned as a skilful raconteur who can seamlessly weave socio-political satire with heartfelt introspection into his charming and endearing trademark style.

Yusuf, who was born in Mombasa, Kenya, is of East-African Indian descent and was raised in London.

He presented his debut solo show at the Edinburgh Festival in 2010 and made his first TV appearance shortly after on Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow.

Award-winning Spencer enjoys nothing more than delighting audiences with her cheeky, dark and delightfully filthy humour.

With 36,000 subscribers on YouTube and more than six million views, her hilarious material is appealing to people worldwide.

Spencer draws inspiration from her own life and social concerns and, in total, has written eight critically-acclaimed stand-up shows that are available to watch online.

Tickets, priced £17, can be bought at www.jokepit.com/comedy-by/paddy-lennox. Doors open at 7.30pm for 8.30pm. There will be a full bar and hot food will be available.
