Beers from Australia, USA and Italy part of the line-up at Wetherspoon real ale festival at Port Jackson in Bishop's Stortford
Beer lovers can enjoy pints from around the world at the Port Jackson pub's 12-day real ale festival.
Brewers from Australia, USA and Italy will be featured at the drinks extravaganza, which runs from Wednesday March 30 to Sunday April 10 at the Wetherspoon venue in Riverside Wharf, Bishop's Stortford.
A number of the beers will be available in the pub for the first time – including some brewed especially for the festival – and there will be beers suitable for vegans and vegetarians along with gluten-free options.
The festival line-up includes Rooster's Tenderfoot, Sambrook's Tomahawk, Orkney Dragonhead, Terrapin Jazz (USA), Vale Jekyll and Hyde, Birrificio Foglie D'Erba's Hot Night at the Village (Italy), Batemans' Beast from the East, JW Lees' Malt Crush and Young Henrys' Real Ale (Australia).
As well as featuring a range of malt and hop varieties from around the globe, there will be beers that include cherries, spices and rye among their ingredients.
Pints will cost £2.10 and customers can sample three third-of-a-pint beers for the price of a pint. Tasting notes will be available in the pub as well as on the Wetherspoon app.
"The festival is a great celebration of real ale," said pub manager Nicole Cottage. "It will allow us to showcase a selection of superb beers over a 12-day period at great value-for-money prices."
