The Benyounes String Quartet – Zara Benyounes, Emily Holland, Sara Roberts and Kim Vaughan – will give the last concert in music@stansted’s 2018-19 season.

Having first come together at the Royal Northern College of Music in 2007, these four multi-award-winning musicians have gone on to wow audiences in London, Vienna, Verbier and Aldeburgh among many others.

A reviewer in Strad magazine, describing one of the pieces they will be playing in Stansted, wrote: “Perhaps the most distinguished of all was the Benyounes Quartet, playing Debussy’s String Quartet. The players have somehow grasped the core of the work, its surging colours, its scintillating detail, its sensual harmonies… I’ve rarely heard such a compelling live performance.”

Works by Haydn (Opus 76 No.1) and Beethoven (Opus 18 No.6) will complete the programme on the evening of Saturday March 16.

The concert takes place at St John’s Church, Stansted, at 7.30pm. Tickets are £15 for adults and £12 for students and over-60s, with entry totally free for under-18s. They can be bought on the door or from the Indie’s own offices, from Nockolds Solicitors in Stortford and Absolute Travel in Stansted, or by phone on 01279 815282.
