Love Actually Changes Everything: BSMTC's night of love songs

By Paul Winspear

Talented members of Bishop’s Stortford Musical Theatre Company (BSMTC) have put together an evening of songs and words about love for their spring show this weekend.

Cabaret show Love Actually Changes Everything at Little Hadham village hall on Friday and Saturday (May 10 and 11) will feature hits by Abba and The Beatles, plus various musical theatre numbers from the likes of Les Miserables and The Lion King.

The cast of 22 have been rehearsing for the last few months under the watchful eye of new musical director Fran Jefferies and long-time members Annie and Bernie Bush, who conceived and directed the show.

Annie said: “What may be new to people is hearing familiar favourites in four-part harmony, including a Take That number and a famous Rick Astley song. As usual, audience participation is encouraged and we look forward to you joining in.”

Fran has put together a live band compromising some of her talented students and colleagues from Presdales School in Ware, where she teaches.

Love Actually Changes Everything, which starts at 7.30pm, is an evening of word and song with supper provided. The £16 ticket price includes a fish, chicken or vegetarian supper and you can take your own drinks.
