The Gallery at Parndon Mill: First exhibition of new year features works by Anthony de Jong Cleyndert and Teresa Chlapowski
The first exhibition for 2022 at The Gallery at Parndon Mill in Harlow features a feast of colour to blow away the cold light of January.
The Central Orb comprises colourful paintings and prints by Anthony de Jong Cleyndert complemented by work in glass by Teresa Chlapowski.
Anthony’s works appear to be abstract, but they are based on landscape views and self-portraits, spacial in content. Recently, other ideas have emerged through printmaking on a big scale.
Teresa creates intricate patterns and flowing textures in her fused glass vessels, imbued with a riot of colour and light. Her free-standing sculptures 'paint' a glimpse of the human form, always with a story to tell.
Curator Sally Anderson said: "This exhibition is a joyous boost for the eye and soul. It is a must see."
Parndon Mill is off Elizabeth Way in Harlow (CM20 2HP). It acts as a hub of creativity, housing artists, craftspeople, designers and architects who can share their ideas and use their different skills to collaborate on work.
