Farnham’s church to host return of free Christmas tree festival
Farnham’s annual Christmas tree festival returns as Advent begins.
On Saturday November 30 and Sunday December 1, St Mary’s Church in the village will be filled with uniquely decorated firs and spruces.
One of the organisers, Penny Tattersall, said: “There’ll be plenty for visitors of all ages to enjoy: hot food and drinks, cakes, stalls and a raffle, a memory tree and games and a lucky dip for the children, not to mention the chance to visit Santa in his grotto from noon until 1pm on Saturday.
“This popular annual event has grown steadily since its inception in 2016, with new elements added each year. We hope people will once again come from far and wide to enjoy the beginning of the festive season in our beautiful little country church.”
Entry to the event is free, with all monies raised from the stalls and raffle going to church funds.
The festival will run from 11am to 4pm on the Saturday and 11am to 3pm on the Sunday, with an Advent service at 4pm.
