Hallowe'en half-term fun in Bishop's Stortford town centre with pumpkin trail and #ScarySelfie Day

More news, no ads

Frightful half-term fun is on offer in Bishop's Stortford town centre this week, thanks to the BID (Business Improvement District).

The traders' body is celebrating Hallowe'en with a pumpkin trail and challenging visitors to find all 10 squashes secreted in shop windows.

Entrants can pick up an information leaflet and entry form from outside Smiggle in Jackson Square or from the Indie office at 12 North Street (while stocks last).

On Sunday (Oct 31) events will take a terrifying turn with a #ScarySelfie Day. The BID has turned the former Body Shop unit in Jackson Square into a haunted house, festooned with frightening decorations.

From 11am to 4pm, there will be a free treat for everyone and a chance to take a spooktacular selfie, so dress up and head to the BID's Hallowe'en den.

A Tech and Treats bundle, worth £250, and two runners-up prizes of £50 Discover Stortford gift cards are on offer for both the trail winner and the best #ScarySelfie.
