Romy Gensale and Kimberley Stoker headlining Bishop’s Stortford Acoustic Club on Thursday August 1

Two very different solo performers are the stars of Bishop’s Stortford Acoustic Club’s Double Headliner Night on Thursday August 1.

Romy Gensale and Kimberley Stoker will bring their distinctive sounds and styles to South Mill Arts.

Experienced singer-songwriter and guitarist Gensale has a raw and beautiful voice that captivates her audience. It has such a sense of emotion that you can feel her singing directly to you.

“I’ve always been a fan of songwriters who can take a step back from life, really look at it in detail, make sense of it and then turn that perspective into something beautiful,” wrote Helen Robinson in Sounds magazine. “A modern and feistily independent example of such is Romy Gensale.”

The club’s organisers are looking forward to welcoming Stoker back after a stunning performance on her previous visit.

She has a unique voice, with a tremendous range and depth, and accompanies herself superbly on the keyboard.

The headliners will be supported by some two-song floorspot acts at the South Road venue.

Doors open at 7.30pm and the music starts at 8pm. Entry price is £7 by cash or card on the door. To ensure a seat, you can book online in advance at https://southmillarts.ticketsolve.com/ticketbooth/shows/873662543.
