Stortford Music Festival recreates magic of Manchester's Hacienda club for charity
Stortford Music Festival is hosting a Manchester-themed Bashienda fundraising event for The Giving Machine.
On Saturday, March 30, the Bish Bash team will pay homage to the legendary Hacienda club, featuring songs by New Order, Stone Roses, Happy Mondays and Primal Scream plus many more indie and club classics.
With Stortford Sound System on the decks, who opened for Sixties soul legends Martha and the Vandellas when they performed at the United Reformed Church Hall in Water Lane last November, the event will kick off with mellow sundowners before getting the party going with late 80s & 90s 'baggy' through to house tunes.
Motown icon Martha Reeves declared Stortford Sound System were her favourite DJs.
Money raised on the night will be distributed to a selection of local good causes via The Giving Machine, the online shopping portal founded by four Bishop’s Stortford dads which raises cash for charity through commisions..
Tickets, available online at www.wegottickets.com are £12 - this includes a free sundowner cocktail if purchased in advance and dressing up is encouraged!
The fun kicks off at 8pm at the United Reformed Church Hall, Water Lane, Bishops Stortford CM23 2JZ. A limited number of tickets will be available on the door.
