Jack and the Beanstalk panto at Harlow Playhouse
The team at Harlow Playhouse are hoping that this year's pantomime will be a giant hit with audiences.
Jack and the Beanstalk opens on Friday November 29 for a five-week run that ends on January 5.
Ben Parsley, who plays Silly Billy Trott, has co-written the show with director and producer Daniel Bell.
Ben's fellow Harlow favourite, Jimmy Burton Iles, plays Dame Dolly Trott, the mother of Silly Billy and his brother Jack, in a production which features a professional cast, live musicians under musical director Phil Dennis and choreography by associate director Claire Cassidy.
The panto cast also includes Jake Small as Jack Trott, Amy Goodwin as Jill, Laura Darton as Baroness Blunderbore, Rachel Rawlinson as Daisy the singing cow and Lizzie Ottley as Fairy Sprite.
Life is good for the Trott family, whose farm is thriving, but there is one problem: Giant Blunderbore. Events take a turn for the worse when the giant kidnaps Daisy and the rest of Dame Trott’s beloved animals.
Will Jack be able to overcome Giant Blunderbore and rescue Daisy? What might be just a bag of old beans could be the start of a new adventure for the Trott family.
Audiences can expect new surprises, jaw-dropping effects and lots of old and new laughs for all the family.
