Six-mile walk taking in Turner's Spring Nature Reserve, near Burton End, and the paths around Stansted Hall

Jono Forgham covers your fortnightly look at nature around Bishop's Stortford...

On my previous Nature Notes wander I got as far as Stoney Common in Stansted, so on Monday November 8 I parked in the same road and set off for Turner's Spring Nature Reserve, not far from Burton End, before retracing my steps back to the paths around Stansted Hall.

The light was good as I headed up Church Road towards the secondary school, Forest Hall, and the M11. At the entrance to Stansted Hall I took the wide track that runs parallel to the motorway.
