A new jam night has been added to the monthly music menu at The Horn at The Half Moon Inn.

Following a meeting with owner Adrian Bell and promoter Luke Hinton, Bishop's Stortford duo Tim Froud and Malcolm Buckland will be running the event, dubbed Moon Jammers, on the last Sunday of each month. The first session will take place on January 27.

In addition to organising the night, guitarist Tim and drummer Malcolm – who lives almost within earshot of the North Street venue – will be part of a five-piece house band alongside bassist Mark Jackson, keyboard player Jasper Scott and singer Carl Madjitey.

Malcolm, who some years ago was part of the house band for the Bishop’s Blues Club, says that Moon Jammers is not just about blues and will hopefully attract players that are into soul, funk and everything in between

“Entry is free and we will run from 6pm until 10pm, making it easier for people who have early starts on a Monday morning,” he said.

“With an experienced and dynamic house band, it will be great entertainment for those who just want to come along and enjoy the music.”

Other 2019 jam night dates for your diary are February 24, March 31, April 28, May 26, June 30, July 28, August 25, September 2, October 27, November 24 and December 29.
