John Torode and James Martin cook up a storm at Essex Fine Food Show
Celebrity chefs James Martin and John Torode are on the menu for the Essex Fine Food Show.
The former Saturday Kitchen star and Masterchef judge will be cooking live on the Verstegen Chefs Stage - James Martin on Saturday, May 12, and John Torode on Sunday, May 13. Sessions start at 11am, 1pm and 3pm each day and last between 30 and 40 minutes. The demonstrations are by ticket entry only – and they are already selling like hot cakes.
Both television favourites are no strangers to the area, having previously entertained the crowds at the show’s sister event - Essex Festival of Food and Drink held at Cressing Temple Barns in July.
There will also be talented local chefs showing off their cooking skills at the Broil King Barbecue Stage.
The Essex Fine Food show, sponsored by Adnams of Southwold, is returning to Chelmsford City Racecourse for a second year.
Visitors can also expect to see the biggest range of artisan and not on the high street producers and cookery gadgets. A Taste of Anglia Producers Village will be packed full of local producers where visitors can taste and try before they buy and there will be 100 stands to choose from throughout the show plus a food court with specialist street food traders including juicy coconut king prawns and wontons, award-winning locally made ice creams and posh toasties!
Entry tickets cost £6 for an adult, with chef show tickets from £12. Concessions are available. For full details, see www.essexfinefoodshow.co.uk
