The big top is coming to Bishop's Stortford this summer with circus skills workshops in Sworder's Field.

The town council has organised the £1 sessions on Sunday August 22, with 45-minute classes from 10.30am.

A spokeswoman said: "Come and learn how to balance, spin and juggle with professional circus artists at Circus Pazaz workshops.

"Perhaps you've always wanted to learn to juggle or wondered how you can spin a plate on a stick? Maybe you've always wanted to try hula hooping – there are adult-sized hoops and a professional hula hooper on hand to teach and advise. Perhaps you'd like to try your skills with balancing on a tight wire or unicycle? Join professional circus artists in their big top tent to learn all these skills and more!"

The workshops are suitable for adults and children aged four and upwards. Use of equipment is dependent on age and availability.

Tickets cost £1 per person and must be bought in advance from www.bishopsstortfordtc.gov.uk/shop. For more information call the Tourist Information Centre on 01279 715001.
