Livewire Rock Academy ready to raise the roof at Bishop’s Stortford’s Rose and Crown

Livewire Rock Academy promises a night of electrifying live music at Bishop’s Stortford’s Rose and Crown.

The pub gig on Saturday November 23 will showcase the rock school’s talented adult students, who are ready to turn up the volume with high-energy cover versions of Cream’s bluesy riffs, the edgy mod sound of The Jam and the thunderous grooves of Led Zeppelin.

The students’ set list will also include the raw punk energy of Iggy Pop and The Clash, plus a nod to the new wave of rock with Green Day.

The concert at the Station Road pub kicks off at 8.30pm and entry is free.

Organiser Simon Baker said: “Many of these performers picked up their instruments later in life or returned to music after years away, bringing a unique energy to their craft. Now, after months of dedicated practice, they’re ready to show Bishop’s Stortford what they’re made of!

“Music lovers of all kinds are encouraged to come along and support these talented locals as they bring timeless classics back to the stage. Grab a drink, sing along and enjoy the atmosphere of pure rock spirit.”
