New chapter for Stansted author AJ Campbell as she releases her latest crime thriller, The Mistake
Amazon best-selling author and Stansted mother-of-three AJ Campbell is back with her ninth crime novel, The Mistake.
The latest offering from the writer from Bentfield Green comes just four years after she launched her career by self-publishing her first thriller, Leave Well Alone, during the Covid pandemic.
Since then, AJ – real name Amanda – has seen soaring success in the crime/thriller genre, with two book deals signed with global digital publisher Bookouture. She has two more novels in the pipeline for later this year.
Described as a “fast-paced and twist-filled psychological thriller”, The Mistake centres on Mia, who is desperate to help save the life of her young niece, Grace, who has been diagnosed with a rare lung condition.
Her only chance of survival is expensive, life-saving treatment in America and a desperate Mia finds herself willing to do anything to help – even if it means turning to crime.
Her flatmate coerces her into seducing a wealthy stranger and “robbing him blind”, but when she witnesses the murder of the man she exploited, Mia realises she is playing a deadlier game than she realised.
The Mistake is out now on Amazon.
