Bishop's Stortford mum and passionate photographer Amy Robson has found comfort in getting out to capture the changing scenery throughout lockdown...
I am a passionate photographer living in Bishop's Stortford. I enjoy capturing a variety of images from portraits and landscapes to action shots.
Photography has been a much-needed outlet for me during the pandemic. It has been a therapeutic wind-down from homeschooling my teenage daughter and entertaining my young toddler, which has been fairly relentless without the normal support of family and friends.
I've found it has also given me a sense of enjoyment during the lonely isolation of being a stay-at-home mum during the many lockdowns.
Being able to document the months as they pass by and capture them in beautiful imagery has been extremely satisfying for me, as well as being important for me to be able to share with those who cannot be around to be part of those special moments.
When captured right, a photograph can make you feel like you are part of the image in that split second in time – it brings us together even when we're apart.
