A beer, cider and food festival is coming to Bishop's Stortford this spring bank holiday.

The three-day event, hosted by the Essex Brewery Company, will be free of charge for visitors to attend.

Musicians will entertain the crowds who descend on Sworder's Field for the Bishop's Stortford Beer, Cider and Foodies Festival on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, May 25-27.

"The range of beers and ciders will not only come from our brewery but from London breweries and the East Anglia region, said Ian Chisholm, director of the Essex Brewery Company.

"The event will incorporate a street food area and a much larger area for other traders that will fit in, generally foodie stalls."

It will be the first event that the Norton Heath-based business has run as a solo venture.

Ian and wife Julie run the Essex Brewery Company. The couple regularly appear at the Bishop's Stortford farmers' market and the Christmas fair."We also attended the carnival last year and just love trading in Bishop's Stortford,Ian added.

Any traders who want to book a stall or any musicians who want to perform should email Ian or Julie via ianc9900@hotmail.co.uk or juliechisholm5120@hotmail.com.

The couple are organising a second beer, cider and food festival at Sworder's Field on September 21-23.
