Adult students of Livewire Rock Academy will be rocking Bishop's Stortford pub the Rose and Crown on Friday (Dec 3) in a free gig.

The students learn drums, bass guitar and electric guitar at rock schools in Saffron Walden every Monday evening and Bishop’s Stortford every Wednesday evening.

The schools are managed by Uncle Funk’s Disco Inferno frontman Simon Baker, who also fronts the adult concerts on bass and vocals.

Livewire gives adults a unique opportunity to learn to play an instrument in a sociable, stress-free environment where they can progress at their own pace and then perform their newly-acquired skills at the rock jam at the end of every lesson.

Entry to Friday's gig, which starts at 8.30pm, is free. The public are encouraged to come and rock out to classic and contemporary covers by bands such as AC/DC, The Damned, The Fratellis, Foo Fighters, Jet, Royal Blood, Neil Young, The Buzzcocks and many more.

There are currently slots available for adults wishing to learn drums, bass or electric guitar at both schools. To book a free taster lesson, call Simon on 07941 142779 or email simon@livewirerockacademy.co.uk.
