The Browns and Lily Martin top the bill at Bishop’s Stortford Acoustic Club’s Double Headliner Night on Thursday March 20

The Browns and Lily Martin are topping the bill at Bishop’s Stortford Acoustic Club’s Double Headliner Night on Thursday March 20.

They will both be performing half-an-hour sets at South Mill Arts, with support coming from a number of two-song floorspot acts.

The Browns, who have performed at festivals and folk clubs across the region and beyond, are singer-songwriters known for their rich and expressive blend of voices in harmony.

With just two voices and one guitar, which Vernon plays upside down, they have developed an exceptional sound allowing their distinctive vocals to take centre stage and shine.

Martin has many strings to her bow, including a great stage presence and a voice that can flip between haunting to soulful blues and all the way to her own fantastic songs.

She will be accompanied by Paul Finney on keyboard.

The support acts are Bill Tarran, Richard Holder, Riverrats (Alex & Jon), Emily Piercy and Conor Andrews.

Tickets, priced £7, can be bought in advance online at southmillarts.co.uk. Alternatively, pay by cash or card on the door. Doors open at 7.30pm and music starts at 8pm.
