Standon Calling festival to boost school funding with new ticket plan
Schools are being offered a chance to generate funds by linking with family-friendly Standon Calling 2022.
This year's festival, from Thursday, July 21 to Sunday, July 24, features music headliners Madness, Anne Marie, Loyle Carner and Primal Scream with support from stars like Sigrid, Self Esteem, Yard Act, Kojey Radical, UK Eurovision sensation Sam Ryder, Sugababes, Gabrielle, Example and Craig David Presents TS5.
Schools, sports and activity clubs can partner with the festival by registering and then sharing a unique booking link with their network. They will then receive 10% of the total face value of every order placed for Standon Calling tickets by their supporters.
Standon Calling founder and director Alex Trenchard said, "Standon For Schools is a great way to support local organisations and kids in the area, whilst also giving them a summer they won't forget!
"The more tickets bought via these unique links, the more money is raised – and the more fun will be had by all at Standon Calling! We can't wait to welcome our Standon Calling family next month. Don't miss out on the chance to enjoy 2022's incredible line-up and simultaneously raise money for an organisation of your choice!"
The festival also features party-starting DJs including Annie Mac, Basement Jaxx and Grandmaster Flash and a full programme of comedy and talks.
The Lawn line-up includes comics Phil Wang and Milton Jones, evolutionary biologist and author Richard Dawkins and diversity activist and avian expert Dr Mya-Rose Craig, better known as Birdgirl.
For children, there is entertainment from Horrible Histories Live, Dick & Dom DJ Battle, Mr Motivator and more. They can also enjoy all the Standon staples like the swimming pool, hot tubs and costume parade, with this year's theme of Who Let The Toys Out?
Standon Calling is also the largest dog-friendly festival in the UK and has partnered again with Barking Heads to host its famous dog show as well as a grooming parlour, expert talks, a doggie dine-in, kids' guide to dog training and more for four-legged festival-goers!
The Riverside Wild Wellbeing programme offers everything from ariel yoga, breath and beats, holistic Swedish massage and saunas to Bushcraft activities while food and drink on offer includes Chick n Sours, Island Poké, Truffle London and Groovy Smoothies.
