Stansted Windmill: Visitors welcome to attend fete on bank holiday Monday

Stansted Windmill's annual fete returns on bank holiday Monday (August 29) with a host of attractions for visitors.

The 200-year-old monument will be open to the public for tours, with the popular teddy bear parachuting from the top of the windmill returning. This fun spectacle allows children to take along their favourite cuddly toy and watch it be winched to an upper window before being launched in a parachute.

The fete, which runs from 1pm to 5pm, will also include attractions and stalls on Recreation Ground, entertainment and refreshments.
