Autumnal photographs by Amanda Ellis from the Stortford Nature group on Facebook
A series showcasing photographs taken by members of the Stortford Nature group on Facebook. Here, Amanda Ellis captures the changing autumnal landscape...
I was born in Bishop's Stortford and always look at it as my home, even though I no longer live there.
I got my first camera about three years ago as a Christmas present and have never looked back. I find it a wonderful hobby.
I feel like I'm learning all the time as to how to get the best photos I can. When I look back I can see just how much I've learned.
I enjoy a wide range of subjects to photograph, from landscapes to birds to tiny rain droplets on leaves and flowers. I love all seasons, but particularly autumn with its ever-changing landscape and the beautiful show the leaves gift to us all.
I never really go out without my camera as you never know what you might see. Photography and being among nature is one of the nicest places to be.
Last year I bought my second camera, a Nikon P900, and I've been enjoying it very much. I am now looking forward to spring and being able to photograph all the new life that season brings.
