LEARN MOREIt really felt as if summer had come at last to Stansted – however late! – when, after weeks of grey skies, the sun came out to shine on music@stansted’s free outdoor concert, writes Richard Allaway.
The concert in the gardens of St John’s Church on Sunday September 5 was generously given free of charge by the Brook Brass quartet.
The gardens were filled with people of all ages who had come along to enjoy an hour of live music that ranged from medieval Venice to the Pink Panther and from Hungarian folk dances to African-American spirituals.
The music brought smiles all round and even moved some younger members of the audience to dance!
music@stansted were delighted to be organising live music in Stansted once again, and are pleased to announce that they will be restarting their regular concerts with a return visit to St John’s by guitarist Gary Ryan, on Sunday November 21 at 3pm.
Details will be found on their website www.musicatstansted.co.uk.
