The Fratellis to headline Saturday night at Stone Valley South 2025
Scottish rockers The Fratellis are the Saturday night headliners at this summer’s Stone Valley South festival.
Organisers of the three-day event in East Herts have already confirmed Public Image Ltd (PiL) will top the Friday night bill with Sunday’s star name yet to be revealed.
Formed in 2005, singer Jon, bassist Barry and drummer Mince Fratelli are rumoured to have adopted their stage surname from the criminal family featured in the 1985 film, The Goonies.
The Glaswegians’ first album, 2006’s Costello Music spawned a pair of UK Top Ten hits - Chelsea Dagger and Whistle for the Choir - and they also scored hits with 2008’s Here We Stand, 2015’s Eyes Wide, Tongue Tied, and 2018’s In Your Own Sweet Time.
Their trophy cabinet includes a 2007 BRIT Award for Best British Breakthrough Act and they won plaudits for their live performances.
Also joining them at Stone Valley South on its seventh return to Pepper Hill Farm, Great Amwell, are newcomers Dutty Moonshine Big Band and Punk Rock Factory making their Stone Valley debuts and a welcome return by former member of The Specials and Fun Boy Three, the original rude boy Neville Staple.
Also confirmed in the first wave of acts - with two more headliners and other performers yet to be revealed - are The Skids, Bar Stool Preachers, Goodbye Mr McKenzie, Porkpie, Buster Shuffle, Sex Pissed Dolls, Riskee & The Ridicule, Armory Show and Jeramiah Ferrari.
Back by popular demand after a storming set last year are Ferocious Dog and festival favourites Death of Guitar Pop. Toyah Willcox is also confirmed for the festival from May 23 to 25.
