Bennett Arron, Shazia Mirza and Matt Green at Laughing Bishops Comedy Club in Bishop’s Stortford on Saturday January 18




A trio of top stand-ups will be performing at Laughing Bishops Comedy Club on Saturday January 18.

Bennett Arron, Shazia Mirza and Matt Green are all on the bill for the show at the Water Lane United Reformed Church Hall alongside compere Paddy Lennox.

Arron, known for his sharp wit and observational humour, is a Welsh comedian and writer who regularly performs stand-up at major London and UK clubs including The Comedy Store, The Glee and The Stand.

A regular at the Edinburgh Festival, he has been described as “a Welsh Seinfeld” by The Guardian and “genuinely original and funny” by The Times.

Mirza, a critically acclaimed comedian and writer, will bring her unique blend of social commentary and insightful observations to the stage.

The Birmingham-born comic, who was a science teacher before turning to comedy full time, is well known to television audiences for her appearances on the BBC’s QI, Have I Got News For You and Richard Osman’s House of Games, ITV’s Loose Women and Rhod Gilbert’s Growing Pains on Comedy Central.

The evening will also feature the hilarious Green, renowned for his energetic and unpredictable style.
