Westlife and Boyzone stars to Pop Up at Little Hadham music festival this summer with Vengaboys and Cascada

A brand new one-day music festival is popping up in Little Hadham this summer.

The team behind Sign of the Times – the two-day event at Church End with Squeeze, Levellers, Peter Hook and the Light, Marc Almond and Inspiral Carpets topping the bill on Friday and Saturday, June 16-17 – has a surprise for music fans on the same site.

On Sunday June 18, the Pop Up festival will feature stars of the Nineties and Noughties.

Already on the bill are Vengaboys, the Dutch Eurodance group who topped the UK singles chart in the late 1990s with Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom! and We're Going to Ibiza, overall selling an estimated 25 million records worldwide.

They will be joined by German hitmakers Cascada, best known for their hit dance singles Every Time We Touch, What Hurts the Most, Evacuate the Dancefloor and Miracle.

From Ireland, former boyband members Keith Duffy and Brian McFadden will be performing as Boyzlife.

The supergroup, duo Keith Duffy and Brian McFadden, previously appeared as members of 90s and Noughties boybands Boyzone and Westlife respectively.

With Boyzone, former Coronation Street actor Duffy enjoyed six UK No 1 singles including No Matter What, which sold over four million copies worldwide and remains the biggest-selling record by a boy band.

Westlife were the first band to achieve seven consecutive No 1 singles in the UK including Uptown Girl, Queen of My Heart and World of Our Own.

McFadden quit in 2004 to become a solo artist and TV presenter. He has performed with Duffy as Boyzlife since 2016.

Also on the bill are Flip & Fill, a Manchester-based electronic dance music duo. Graham Turner and Mark Hall scored hits with tracks including Shooting Star, Discoland and True Love Never Dies.

The dance music will continue with Liverpool's Ultrabeat, best known for tracks Pretty Green Eyes, Feelin' Fine, Better than Life and Elysium (I Go Crazy).

The Pop Up festival will be opened by viral social media sensation Rosie McClelland, who hails from Harlow.

The singer, actress and lifestyle influencer shot to fame aged just five, thanks to a YouTube video she made with cousin Sophia Grace.

The girls were showcased in 2011 by American comedian Ellen DeGeneres on her top-rated show, chatting to the star about their viral cover of Nicki Minaj's hit Super Bass.

Rosie has appeared on the programme more than 30 times since and has won a Nickelodeon Kids Choice Award plus hosted on red carpets at The Grammys, MTV VMA (Video Music Awards) and American Music Awards.

After appearances on BBC show Nova Jones, Nickelodeon's Sam & Cat and her film debut starring in Sophia Grace & Rosie's Royal Adventure, the teenager is back singing.

Organiser John Brannan said: "We've always loved Church End as a festival site and wanted to bring something extra to the area, and what better way than a family-friendly pop festival.

"We're always overwhelmed by the support for our events here in Hertfordshire and wanted to bring a fantastic day out at a very affordable price."

With stalls and attractions, too, Pop Up is free for under-fives and a fun event for Father's Day.
