Celebrate all things Christmassy with Amici Cantate when the Bishop’s Stortford-based choir delivers a joyful festive concert for all the family this Saturday evening (Dec 7).

The singers will be performing Alexander L’Estrange’s award-winning ‘Wassail! Carols of Comfort and Joy’ amid a programme of sing-along carols and fun festive songs in a concert celebrating the very best of British choral tradition at this time of year.

Under the musical direction of James Davey and accompanied by organist Michael Smith as well as a jazz ensemble, Amici Cantate will be joined by the Herts and Essex High School choir, led by Peter Clayton, plus pupils from Manor Fields Primary School.

The concert at All Saints’ Church in Hockerill starts at 7pm. Proceeds from the evening will be donated to Eden High School in Uganda, which is Herts & Essex High’s partner school.

Tickets are £15 for adults, £6 for under-16s and can be booked by calling 01279 506773 or emailing tickets@amicicantate.org.uk. Tickets are also available from both schools involved and will be on sale on the door.
